So when I was out in Arizona I did get to see my father for a hot second and that made me happy. He kind of rescued me during my camera disaster and helped me find a place to get it fixed/get a new used camera. I knew he had purchased a gun and I really wanted to do a portrait of him with it. I've been really channelling a lot of 70's photography in my new work for some reason. The kind of work that got me interested in photography in the first place. Larry Clark, Mark Morrisroe, David Armstrong and so on. Anyway, I love this portrait of my dad... I think its kind of epic. It makes you think right away and that's what I strive for.

So my random portraits of boys in my studio are going to be taking a new form, or forum rather. I will be doing a mass photo session with about 20 male models or so for a certain magazines website for a recurring blog/video thing of sorts. It's pretty exciting and fun and I really look forward to when I can reveal it all. You will have to wait until September for that. Also, 10 or so of my studio boys are in a new book that was just released in Europe called Contemporary Fashion Photographers - link here on amazon LINK TO AMAZON . Not sure if it will end up being at Barnes and Noble or something here, but it's a pretty cool book I'm glad to be a part of.

A new boy! Like I said, I tried to keep myself busy while away on vacation and do work for myself. Anyway, this is Parker and I also photographed his boyfriend Graydon which will be coming later this week. Parker is a great guy and photographer as well. His arm sleeve is incredibly beautiful in person. This is from when we were on the beach all nude together being gay and stuff. It was a beautiful day and he was a great subject.
Alright, well shooting tomorrow and Friday which will be good. Friday is a really great shoot of someone I've loved for a really long time, so I'm looking forward to it.
Time to make dinner!
