safe in my own skin.

It's funny that now that my editing for digital photographs has changed a bunch I'm going back and re-visiting old shoots and putting my new spin on them. I'm really really enjoying it.

"Silence is Golden" by Garbage

If I am silent then I am not real
But if I speak up then no one will hear
If I wear a mask theres somewhere to hide

Silence is golden
I have been broken
Safe in my own skin
So nobody wins

If I raise my voice will someone get hurt
And if I cant feel then I wont get touched
If no truths are spoken then no lies can hide

Silence is golden
Nobody gets in
Safe in my own skin
So nobody wins

Did you hear me speak
Do you understand
Did you hear my voice
Will you hold my hand
Do you understand me

Wont someone listen
Nobody gets in
My bodys a temple
But nothing is simple
Silence is golden
I have been broken
Something was stolen
Safe in my own skin

That is by far one of my favorite songs of all time from my teenage years. Beautiful Garbage was just one of those album's that helped me get through shit. In a good way. Shirley Manson is kind of a personal hero of mine.

ANYWAY! So this week was pretty crazy and I kind of feel like I've been moving in slow motion the last few days. It's good though, I'm just happy to be working. The NYU mini-show looks really nice and I am always happy to be involved with Universities. It's a really good feeling knowing that students have the opportunity to look at my work on walls close to their classroom. I hope discussions are had and things are brought up in critiques and all that good stuff.

I'm shooting two things next week as well as doing some go-sees. I also have some news about blogging that I will unveil at the end of the month as I am going to be working with one of my magazines on something I'm pretty excited about. I'm hoping to see Star Trek this weekend, but not sure if it will happen. My movie going has been lacking a lot lately and this is something I need to change. I just haven't had the time. I haven't even seen the Limits of Control yet and I want to see Paz in the film very much so.

Everyone has been complaining about the rain, but I love it. It's really soothing to me. I like sitting on my window sill with my morning coffee and the New York Times or a book. It's lovely.

Love the time-shifty motion blur you're playing with here.
